Interference is a performance in which light, optical instruments and the body movement are fused together to explore their interconnected relationship.
Through a personal and experimental approach, the performer precisely controls and manipulates the light with her own body movement to explore visual phenomena. The natural behavior of light involves a very random and unexpected character as every small movement generates an unique visual outcome. Therefore,
the light interferences are being generated through flat to volumetric surfaces of translucent instruments fused with artificial light and pre-designed body movements.A communication system of graphics is finally involved for the spectator and the performer explore a language of movements together as an interactive element. Consequently, a sense of surprise and “by chance” within the light behavior and it’s experience in space is being ex- plored by both the spectator as well as the performer. Interference aims to emphasize the power of light as a medium and material to create, shape and transform the spatial experience in a live moment. With the created system, Interference has the intention to rediscover the relationship between human and the material world, emphasizing a sense of vulnerability and flexibility towards materiality within our contemporary frame.
